Clipora

Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

This policy explains what data Clipora handles, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

  • Your full video stays on your device. Clipora processes it in your browser and never uploads it.
  • To find your best moments and write captions, small frames and short audio snippets go to our AI provider.
  • We never see your card. Payments are handled by Whop through Kwop.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time in Account.

2. What we keep

  • Account: your email, your name if you add one, and your sign-in method.
  • Your answers: the onboarding questions (what you play, where you post, session length).
  • Usage: your free uses left and the sessions you ran, to count your plan's quota.
  • Your sessions: the file name, file size and length of each video.
  • Your clips: titles, timings, framing, captions and one small preview image from the footage.
  • Your settings: caption style and channel name.
  • Where you came from: the plan and campaign in the link you used to sign up, if any.

3. What stays on your device

Your original video and the finished MP4 clips stay on your device. Finished clips are saved in your browser so you can download them again. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

4. What goes to our AI

We use Google Gemini. For each session, we send it a few small frames around your loudest moments. For each clip, we send it the short audio of that clip so it can write the captions. Anything said in that audio, including by other people in your game, goes with it.

Google's terms for the Gemini API apply, and depending on the service tier in use, Google may keep what we send and use it to improve its products. Don't process footage containing private information you don't want shared this way.

5. Why we use your data

  • To provide Clipora (your account, your clips, your plan): this is needed for our contract with you.
  • To understand and improve the funnel (visits, sign-ups, feature use): this is our legitimate interest in running the service.
  • To meet legal duties, such as keeping payment records where the law requires it.

6. Services we share data with

  • Supabase: accounts and database, hosted in the EU (Ireland).
  • Vercel: hosting of the website.
  • Google: the Gemini AI described above, and sign-in if you choose Continue with Google.
  • Kwop: plans, payments and the owner's dashboard. It receives your email and events such as sign-up and feature use.
  • Whop: processes your payment and your card details, through Kwop.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use a few cookies, needed for the service to work:

  • Sign-in cookies, to keep you logged in.
  • A sign-up cookie, kept up to 30 days, that remembers the plan and campaign in your link.
  • A short cookie, kept 2 minutes, that shows your new plan right after you pay.

The landing, sign-up and log-in pages also use visit analytics by Kwop. Pages inside the app don't. The checkout is provided by Whop, which may set its own cookies.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting a clip or a session removes it right away. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions and clips from our database. Payment records may be kept longer by Whop and Kwop where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including in the EU and UK, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to or limit how we use it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

You can correct your name and delete your clips, sessions and account yourself in the app. To stop a plan, use Cancel my subscription in Account.

10. Data outside your country

Some of these services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We rely on each provider's legal safeguards for those transfers.

11. Children

Clipora is not meant for children under 16. Please don't use it if you are under 16.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app and update the date above.
